PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED AT VIRTUS.ORG

Dear Immaculate Conception School New Parent,

Welcome and thank you for choosing to educate your child in a Catholic Christian community.  I am writing you today however, to discuss not your child’s education, but your own.  Please consider joining other new parents on Tuesday evening, August 26 for the class “Protecting God’s Children” from 7 to 10PM in the Parish Hall.

This class is aimed at adults who care about children and who want to keep them safe.  The sad fact of our modern world is that child sexual abuse exists in America and our police authorities track less than five percent of the individuals who perpetrate these acts.  Well trained children of good parents here in Hunterdon County are no less vulnerable than the children in our most crime ridden cities.

The class is required by the Diocese of Metuchen for any volunteer who wants to work with children in our school.  Get a head start on the many demands that September will bring and logon to www.virtus.org. to register for the August class.  The website lists all classes scheduled in the parish as well as elsewhere in the Diocese.  You are welcome to attend any other PGC class if August 26 is not convenient for you.

Thank you for caring about our young people.  If you have any questions feel free to leave a message for my Rectory mailbox.

Sincerely,
